Long way down from Oia by foot. Some take donkey, or I'd you have a car, even easier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ammoudi Bay is literally at the foot of Oia and an amazing place to visit for a couple of hours. It's accessible via hundreds of steps, directly from Oia, or by scooter in my case, which is far easier. There is a foot path right around the point to a secluded bay, which is a popular swimming spot. The foot path is fairly treacherous though, washed out in places and strewn with boulders, fallen from the cliffs in others. There are a number of restaurants squeezed in between the tiny harbour and the cliffs which are great for a break and must be awesome at sunset!
