When you first walk in, it doesn’t seem to be that big of a building, but the rooms are deep and contain a lot of really nice items. When you walk in, there is a temp check before you can buy a ticket. Make sure you use your forehead for the temp (and not your wrist like all of the other places) or they will yell and make you come back. No biggie. My favorite portion of the museum is the downstairs bit that has the pictures and drawing of Thessaloniki from antiquity. Some of them are room-size and very detailed so it’s easy to see and understand.

This museum is smaller than the one in Athens, but I think it presents its subject much better. Displays are more carefully constructed to tell their story. I enjoyed visiting and learned a lot.
B	Bogdan Godeanu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love it. If you like history then you must visit this museum. It's very interesting. I am impresed when I see old stuff and I think how old is and some pleople used that 2000 years ago. Also, very impresive how the sculptures are so detailed.
