★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pay to get on and then pay to get on again lol. Then when you hit the bottom, you don't see much of anything but an ATM and then you are being sold on volcano hot spring tours and everything else. Its nice to experience though. Recommend for beautiful mountain views. There was literally no line for me. I just walked right in, but I can imagine this being a pain for others who have to wait for a 3 minute ride just to wait again to go back up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a terrible experience, despite signs everywhere stating a maximum of 3 people per car, the attendant forced more than the maximum to get in our car. When I complained and pointed out the signs , he refused to back down and became aggressive. When we refused to travel we couldn't get a refund of our ticket price although the company blatantly flouts Covid rules and have no regard for passenger safety. The cars are not cleaned between rides and I found it a total disgrace and should not be operating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can be long lines if multiple cruise ships come in ... long line when 4 large ships plus our smaller Celestyal cruise ship but next day only us and another small ship — results, no lineup.
Area smells of donkey and cat urine ... not where I’d like to dine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since the area is so over crowded, lines for the cable car took over a hour in the hot sun. This is one of the only ways to get down the side of the mountain unless you want to take a donkey or walk an extremely steep trail. I would recommend to give yourself a ton of time to either wait in line or go later when hopefully there isn’t a line but my guess is there’s always a line. Especially if there are 3+ cruises in port. The only thing good about this is the view. But definitely not for the faint at heart with heights.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very busy cable car station. Getting down is very doable as the waiting line and queue is mostly shaded from the sun.
Ticket to get down per person is €6. If you want to go up, that's another €6, which you buy at the lower station.
TIP: Plan your return when going back up. We were unlucky enough to clash with 3 tourists boats and we waited about 1.5 hours in queue...
Overall, this is the most convenient way to get down to the port.
