Τη μοναδική φορά που απαντήθηκε το τηλέφωνο, μας είπε μια κυρία να ξαναπάρουμε γιατί ήθελε να ταΐσει τα σκυλιά. Σαν το δημόσιο στα χειρότερά του... Unacceptable. After many attempts at communication, we despaired. And it goes without saying that we were not on edge. The only time the phone rang, she told us to get a lady again because she wanted to feed the dogs. Like the public at its worst ...

Οι εικόνες που αντικρίζουν σκληρές και το έργο τους ακόμα πιο δύσκολο όταν έχουν να αντιμετωπίσουν ανεγκέφαλους συμπολίτες μας που δεν κατανοούν την έννοια του «εθελοντισμού»! Incredible people who fight everyday! They not only deposit time from their lives but also their souls! The images that look at cruelty and their work are even more difficult when they have to deal with our unruly fellow citizens who do not understand the concept of "volunteering"!

Ένα μεγάλο μπράβο στους εθελοντές και στο Δήμο Καλαματας There was a problem with a stray dog in a village near Kalamata. I contacted the animal shelter and they responded immediately and effectively. A big congratulations to the volunteers and to the Municipality of Kalamata
M	Maria Thanasia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Χτες το βράδυ βρήκαμε ενα γατάκι 10-15 ημερών ακριβώς στη μέση του δρόμου. Ηταν τρομαγμενο και ακινητο. Κανένας δεν ενδιαφέρθηκε να το μαζέψει. Το πήρα να το καθαρίσω και να το ταΐσω και κάλεσα στη φιλοζωικη καθώς ζω Γερμανία και ήταν αδύνατο να ερθει μαζί μου. Η κοπέλα που απάντησε είπε οτι δεν μπορουσε εκεινο το βράδυ και να της το παμε τη Δευτέρα. Εμείς όμως φεύγαμε το επόμενο πρωι. Μας έδωσε το τηλέφωνο μιας άλλης "κυρίας" στη Μεσσήνη, η οποία ήταν θετικότατη και δέχτηκε να το πάρει με τον όρο ότι θα της το πηγαίναμε το πρωί. Το γατάκι κοιμήθηκε με εμάς, και το πρωί οι κυρίες αφαντες. Ωραία συμπεριφορά απο φιλόζωους! Και η μία με μπλοκαρε κιολας. Εαν είχε πει οτι δεν μπορεί, θα ψάχναμε όλη νύχτα για εναλλακτικές. Απαράδεκτη συμπεριφορά και ντροπή, και θέλαμε να τους κάνουμε και δωρεά, αλλα πλεον χαίρομαι που δεν δώσαμε ούτε μισο ευρω αλλά και το ίδιο το ζωακι. Στην απάντηση με τη λέξη ΕΘΕΛΟΝΤΈΣ: ναι ειναι εθελοντές, οχι εργαζόμενοι αλλά ψέματα και δούλεμα;; μην μου πεις να έρθω εαν θες να κοιμηθείς ή εαν έχεις δουλειές. Της πλάκας απαντήσεις και άνθρωποι Last night we found a kitten of 10-15 days right in the middle of the road. He was terrified and motionless. Nobody was interested in picking it up. I took it to clean and feed it and called the animal welfare as I live in Germany and it was impossible for him to come with me. The girl who answered said that she could not do that night and we could do it for her on Monday. But we left the next morning. He gave us the phone number of another "lady" in Messina, who was very positive and agreed to take it on the condition that we would go to her in the morning. The kitten slept with us, and in the morning the ladies disappeared. Nice behavior from animal lovers! And one of them even blocked me. If he had said he could not, we would have been looking all night for alternatives. Unacceptable behavior and shame, and we wanted to donate to them, but now I am glad that we did not give even half a euro and the animal itself. In response to the word VOLUNTEERS: yes they are volunteers, not employees but lies and work ?? do not tell me to come if you want to sleep or if you have jobs. Plaque answers and people

Το έργο σας είναι ζωτικής σημασίας για την πόλη μας και τις γύρω περιοχές. We warmly thank the Animal Welfare Club and the Municipality of Kalamata that responded immediately to our request for the collection and care of a stray elderly dog that was in a miserable condition. Your project is vital for our city and the surrounding areas.

M	Mark McDonald on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The people behind this supposed animal welfare organization are very disengenuous as they severely overstate their actual commitment to helping stray animals (ie. dogs/cats). On their website they claim to provide care (food, treatments, sterilization, etc.) for the stray dogs in AND around Kalamata. The truth is that they are only willing to provide care for SOME animals and are extremely selective in which ones they CHOOSE to help. They should be more honest in how they promote themelves for they absolutely won't hesitate to allow the many dogs they CHOOSE not to help die alone on the streets from sickness and/or starvation. You're either an animal welfare organization or you're not. There is no if, and or but when lives, whether they be animal or human, are at stake. From my personal experience in contacting them on two separate occasions: they clearly are NOT!
