g	gn. bright on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a historic place of works of war if I understood well...it is interesting place with underground bunkers/house for hidinge for the military and strategic place for long distance overseeing distances across the borders with Bulgaria. It is sparkling and superb interesting mountain scenes to see the military set up and some gear remaining at the site for several years of preservance. Congrats to those who thought to preserve the site. It gives a travel back to those ages we never really existed but we feel the sparkling freedom we live in today that there was a war. Someone fought and died for this freedom we live now. Thank you so much. I discovered the place in website but encouraged to see by a toll teller. Thank you to you madam even though I did know your name.
c	carine vanlerberghe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without any preparation we went to Fort Roupel, at the entrance we had to give a passport before we were allowed to continue. We asked the soldier what we were going to see in the fort and he told us to drive further up and that a guided tour would be given to us. We drove up for about 10 minutes and had stunning views of the autumn dressed forests on the mountain hills. When we arrived up an other soldiers told us that the tour started a few minutes ago so we hurried up to follow the tour. The explanations we're very clear and gave us a total images of what happened there in April 1941. After the history part we were taken into the fort for some more information. The guided tour took about 30 minutes and was from the beginning till the end very interesting.

This region has a diverse heritage but the bunker is about Greek history between the two world wars and about the Second World war and the role of the bunker... 90% are Greek local visitors. Tours in English are available, people in our group were from Germany, Macedonia and Bulgaria.

I	Ioannis Katakis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think is MUST. The tour and the very good presentations by the soldiers make think about Greece, Greek potential, Politicians with potential. The concept, the construction, the design of the fort is unique. Only this fort is 13 km long. If you have visited the ones of Vietnamese against the Americans in Saigon, Vietnam, I believe ours are far more superior considering that they were conceived more than 40 years bere and they were constructed more than 30 years before the Vietnamese started their own.
Z	Zoe Vavali on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool place! As it is part of the army campus, it is in a great condition ( with all the COVID-19 protocols ). The guided tour is free of charge, provided by the campus soldiers, which I find very adequate. Overall it worth the visit ✌?
S	Sv Alexandroff on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restored fortification establishment from WW2 built as a part of the Metaxa protection line. Lots of work has been done to bring it back to shape and make it visitable. Network of underground corridors with excellent natural ventilation. The whole place is maintained by the Greek army and tours are carried by military personnel. They are very responsive and since everything is in greek, they offer to do the tour in English which is really great. All of this for free! 5 stars and definitely must see.
