★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked two 'tours' with hanioti tours on our holiday. The first was an excursion to Petralona cave for which we paid 75 euro for 3 people. It was not explained that this was simply for a car - we had to pay extra for a train and for entrance. Although the cave was ok we spent 45 minutes there and so for total 105 euros was not value for money.
Lack of transparency.
Later the same day we booked the Greek night. In the brochure it showed greek dancers, in outdoor setting and promised unlimited food and wine. Despite our earlier experience we looked forward to photo opportunities. We were dropped off in a stark hotel lobby to watch hotel entertainment (which I'm sure was not bad) with substandard buffet food (French fries and dry meat) and were unimpressed. We found no drinks at all were included - everything was extra. The hotel manager told us he charged his guests €15 euros for the food and dancing, so we paid an additional 45 euros to hanioti tours for a transfer which cost €4.80 in a taxi. When we complained we were refused access to a manager and received an insulting token refund. No satisfactory escalation process for complaints. Please avoid.
