Friendly staff , thou did not saw timetables or service map in any other language then Greek. They have 3 services a day to Meteora as well for a good price. Note: There is a train station in town too, with connection to Athens and Thessaloniki. Which was in our case cheaper & a very scenic ride.

Quite Clean and functions normal. I would expect some proper food places around at least but cafes are okay also.

The guy at the ticket issuance counter is helpful. He was so concerned about us and start asking if we need any help. Overall service is good, bus driver also has explained briefly (they tried although with simple english) where they will going and informed us to stop for how long at the rest stop. It seems good to me as a tourist who opt to explore foreign country without travel agent. Everyone do their job professionally.

We took the 7:00am bus from Athens to Kalambaka on 14/10/2020 and while the route seemed fine and everything ran on time. Our driver was hacking a lung, coughing all over, and didn't even have his mask pulled up. So gross and unprofessional and unsafe in COVID times. He shouldn't be driving around the public, not adhering to the law and putting all the passengers at risk. There was nothing in the way if COVID cleaning measures being done at all either. I wish I had another option for getting back to Athens because I would take it to avoid another drive like today where I felt completely unsafe. If you have another way to travel, use it.

Friendly staff. Cheap luggage storage. 1-2 euro for one opening, unlimited duration.

Be sure to book your bus tickets 1-2 days in advance. We booked Kalabaka to Ioannina but it was sold out for 2 days. Apparently this station can only sell 7 tickets in advance for this route as it starts in Trikala. They can also phone the driver while on route to see if there are any available seats, but if there aren't, then you'll have to get the next days bus.

Meteora Day ticket at 5.50 euros not a good idea to see the 6 monasteries as brochure says the bus stop at all the monasteries, not true! They only stop at Great Meteron & St Stephens! Other than these two, you must press a bell ahead to be let off. Only 3 departures from kalampaka at 9, 12.30 & 2.30pm. And the return bus from St Stephens at 11, 2 & 4.15pm. Only managed 2 monasteries this way …and wasted 2 long hours waiting for the bus at St Stephens cos the driver had parked some 150m away from the main entrance, and bus being blocked by a mobile van selling gifts. As a result, we missed the 2pm bus and had to take the 4.15pm one! A long day wasted …Next day, we were smarter and booked a private taxi for 3 hours, 50 euros and saw 3 monasteries & a Virgin Mary Church. Time & money well spent!!!

I haven't taken the bus here, however they offer luggage storage lockers for €2 single use all day (they fit a small carry on suitcase, maybe even two on top of each other). If you have oversize luggage they also store it behind their counter for you all day for the same price. They close at 9pm (not sure about weekends). As with Greeks generally the service attitude here is also very friendly and warm!!
