Η τοιχογράφηση του πιθανόν έγινε μεταξύ 1621-4 και το τέμπλο το 1724.
Στο μοναστήρι διδάχτηκαν και δίδαξαν επιφανείς κληρικοί και λόγιοι, όπως ο Μεθόδιος, ο Άνθιμος Μητροφάνης, οι Γεώργιος και Παναγιώτης Ζαμπέλιος, ο Μελέτιος Σέρβος, ο Γερμανός Φίλιππας, ο Θεοφάνης Δανιάς, ο Βησσαρίωνας Κατωχιανός κλπ. Υπέστη σοβαρές ζημιές από το σεισμό του 2003.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Procházet a rozjímat v osamocení v prostoru kde se rozkládal tento Monastir je duchovní zážitek. V samotném kostelíku je znát, že je vše takové schátralé, ale určitě stojí za to se sem podívat.
Walking and meditating in solitude in the space where this Monastir was located is a spiritual experience. In the church itself, you can tell that everything is so dilapidated, but it's definitely worth a look here.
