Το 1785 ανοικοδομήθηκε εξ΄ αρχής λόγω καταστροφής του από σεισμό και πήρε τις σημερινές του διαστάσεις το 1836. Ανακαινίστηκε εκ νέου μετά το 2003. Στην ενορία της λειτουργεί από το 1988 Κέντρο Νεότητος. Πήρε την ονομασία “Παναγιά των Ξένων” επειδή σε αυτήν εγγράφονταν ενορίτες όσοι δημόσιοι υπάλληλοι με καταγωγή εκτός Λευκάδος εργάζονταν στο νησί. Η ύπαρξη ναού “των Ξένων” είναι συνήθεια που απαντάται και σε άλλα νησιά του Ιονίου. It is located in Marka Square, near the central market. The original chapel was built in 1718. In 1785 it was rebuilt from the ground up by earthquake disaster and took its present dimensions in 1836. It was renovated after 2003. It has been in operation since 1988 as a Youth Center. It was nicknamed "Our Lady of the Foreigners" because it included parishes of civil servants originating outside Lefkada working on the island. The existence of a "foreign" temple is a custom found in other Ionian islands.
