Εκτίθενται ευρήματα που καλύπτουν ένα ευρύ χρονολογικό φάσμα από τη Νεολιθική εποχή (7η χιλιετία π.Χ.) έως τα ύστερα ρωμαϊκά χρόνια (4ος αι. π.Χ.) και προέρχονται από ολόκληρο το νομό Αιτωλοακαρνανίας, εκτός των περιοχών Θέρμου και Θυρρείου. The Archaeological Museum of Agrinio is housed in a building located southeast of the city's large park and was built in the 1960s with a donation from the Papastratos brothers. Finds that cover a wide chronological period from the Neolithic era (7th millennium BC) to the late Roman years (4th century BC) and come from the entire prefecture of Etoloakarnania, except for the areas of Thermo and Thyrreio.
