Στις 25 Οκτωβρίου 1971 έγινε η ανακομιδή των ιερών λειψάνων του, τα οποία εναποτέθηκαν στο ομώνυμο ναό των Ιωαννίνων, στην Πλατεία Πάργης. Ιερός ναός αφιερωμένος στη μνήμη του Αγίου υπάρχει και στη γενέτειρά του, Άγιο Γεώργιο Γρεβενών, όπου φυλάσσεται τμήμα το ιερού του λειψάνου.
Η μνήμη του τιμάται στις 17 Ιανουαρίου και αποτελεί τον πολιούχο Άγιο της πόλης των Ιωαννίνων και της γενέτειράς του, του χωριού Άγιος Γεώργιος Γρεβενών. Τέλος, ο Άγιος τιμάται ιδιαίτερα και στο χωριό Αργυρό Πηγάδι Αιτωλοακαρνανίας, όπου υπάρχει ο ομώνυμος πεντάτρουλος ναός, ο οποίος είναι ο πρώτος ναός που χτίστικε προς τιμήν του το 1847, δηλαδή μόλις 9 χρόνια μέτα το μαρτύριό του.
