★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Athens airport is not very large but it's built in a way that can be very accommodating for travellers. All kinds of shops are available for someone to spend some time waiting for his next flight. There are a couple of things that can be improved: the toilets need to be more thoroughly cleaned and the music needs to stop during the night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly the worst airport I have ever been too. It took me over 30 minutes to get off the plane. Try to avoid this airport if it is possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice experience of flight and stuff. Although, a little bit expensive in local Greek products like olive oil and feta cheese. We found them cheaper to other places in Athens.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Airport itself is quite nice with a good selection of shops and restaurants, but passengers with connecting flights are required to leave the security area and then pass through the security screening again to get to their departure gate. The management that made that plan should be fired!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got to the airport early after a couple days of visiting. Fast check in and security. None of the big stores were open but some little cafes. Very quiet and clean. You can go down to the end of the B terminal and sit in a recliner. Nice airport and the employees are friendly.
