★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Δεν υφίσταται πλέον λόγος ύπαρξης της αφετηρίας του ΚΤΕΛ σε αυτό το σημείο. Πλέον λόγω μετρό-Προαστιακού και βελτίωσης των αστικών συγκοινωνιών, θα μπορούσαν τα δρομολόγια του ΚΤΕΛ να έχουν ως αφετηρία το σταθμό ΑΙΓΑΛΕΩ ή ΑΓΙΑ ΜΑΡΙΝΑ (ή έστω το νέο σταθμό λεωφορείων στον Ελαιώνα μόλις κατασκευαστεί) και μόνο ορισμένα δρομολόγια να φθάνουνε ως Θησείο.
There is no longer any reason for the KTEL starting point at this point. Due to the metro-Suburban and improved public transport, bus services could start at Aigaleo or Agia Marina (or at least the new bus station at Eleonas has just been built) and only some of the buses could reach Thissio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ...Thission one of the most old neighbourhoods near this station..nowdays being modernised and it's very convenient to get out here and make your way to Akropolis or the nearby monuments but mind you to make your lesson before come here so to know where to head and not only buy post cards..there little shops outside this station that are supposed to sell bargains ..try the little coffee shops not only the touristic ones and discover there the real Greek coffee shop with its one colour. .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here we go again...THIS IS FOR THE BUS STOP!!! NOT THE TRAIN STATION!!! Anyway...this bus stop is usually active during the nighttime, because of the Night Line 500, when the train station isn't active. One of the most important meeting places in Athens (the church of Agion Asomaton)...and Ermou street is always lively during Friday and Saturday nights.
