★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am undeserving of these incredible dolmades, tiny bits of pure paradise. This is a small taverna in a small village about 30 km from Heraklion. Be warned the grill is only started up a 19:30 (8 ish). There is no menu that I saw and they do not speak a lot of English. That being said they are heart-warming, welcoming people and when they do start up that grill the smell instantly let's you know you will be in for a treat. If cretan tavernas got Michelin stars they would definitely deserve one. Unassuming but brilliant in every way that matters.
