★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Είναι πολύ ωραία διαδρομή μιας και περπατάς πανό από Βυζάντινο αγωγό όπου τροφοδοτούσε την πόλη της Καβάλας. Πράσινο τοπίο γεφύρια τοξωτά. Η μόνη απογοήτευση είναι που σαν φτάνεις στην μάνα του νερού βλέπεις μια γούρνα από τσιμέντο προς όφελος κατά τα φαινόμενα κάποιου βοσκού της περιοχής. Αν από ότι έχω διαβάσει δεν είναι αυτή η πηγή. Η πραγματική πηγη βρίσκεται μέσα σε ιδιόκτητο οικόπεδο και δεν είναι προσβάσιμη. Κατά τα άλλα είναι μια υπέροχη διαδρομή.
It is a very nice route since you walk banners from a Byzantine pipeline where it fed the city of Kavala. Green landscape arched bridges. The only disappointment is that when you reach the mother of water you see a trough made of cement for the benefit of a local shepherd. If from what I have read it is not this source. The actual source is located on a privately owned plot and is not accessible. Otherwise it is a wonderful route.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem of Kavala. Amazing mountain trail so close to the sea. Diverse environment. It's best if a local shows you around to explain a little bit about modern sights such as the abandoned houses, leper's colony, olive gardens, etc. But also good on its own. The municipality has placed some signage recently with English explanation on Roman history. I only saw the first 2-3 kilometers, the entire trail is about 10 kilometers.
