★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my favourite place in all of Lefkada! Fresh bread&pita, chilled glasses(!) for beer, flexible with food selection, friendly staff, excellent value. I wholeheartedly recommend the chicken pita souvlaki (€2.5). Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere all round. Not pretentious, family run, both tourists and locals come here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite place for a cheap meal. Great location, friendly, down to earth, nothing fancy. They are famous for their cheap and tasty gyros and souvlaki meals. Other options also available. Busy in the evenings for table service.

Monastiri used to be a decent place (we’ve been visiting almost every year) but this summer service was slow and amateur (you get the wrong thing, late) and the food sub-par: the gyro was not fully cooked, and the pita sandwiches seemed to be slapped together.
Also: they had ran out of ice! (So no ouzo - am surprised they didn’t go to a next door restaurant and borrow some).
