★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η 12η εφορεία Βυζαντινών Αρχαιοτήτων στεγάζεται στο Μεγαρο "Τόκου" που κτίστηκε το 1879 για να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως κατοικία του καπνέμπορου Δημήτριου Τόκου. Το κτίριο έχει στεγάσει κατά καιρούς το Ιταλικό προξενείο Καβάλας, υπηρεσίες του Δήμου, λειτούργησε ως ιδιωτικό Γυμνάσιο και ως Δημαρχείο. Από το μπαλκόνι του απευθύνθηκε στον λαό της Καβάλας κατά την επίσκεψή του στην πόλη το 1929 ο Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος.
 The 12th Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities is housed in the "Tokou" Palace built in 1879 to be used as the residence of the tobacco merchant Dimitrios Tokos. The building has housed from time to time the Italian consulate of Kavala, services of the Municipality, operated as a private High School and as City Hall. From his balcony, Eleftherios Venizelos addressed the people of Kavala during his visit to the city in 1929.
