★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το παλιό νεοκλασικό κτήριο της οδού Βασιλίσσης Όλγας 3, είχε χτιστεί στα 1890-95 από τον βουλγαρικής καταγωγής μόνιμο κάτοικο της πόλης Θεόδωρο Χατζημήσεφ, μεταφραστή ρωσικών, ο οποίος εξαιτίας του μεγάλου πολέμου είχε εγκαταλείψει τη χώρα και το ακίνητο νοικιαζόταν από το ελληνικό υπουργείο Παιδείας. Τελικά η οικοδομή εξαγοράστηκε από το ελληνικό Δημόσιο το 1928.
Στέγασε στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα το Α’ Γυμνάσιο Αρρένων, το πρώτο ελληνικό σχολείο μέσης εκπαίδευσης στη Θεσσαλονίκη.
Το κτήριο υπέστη εκτεταμένες ζημιές από τον σεισμό του Ιουνίου του 1978 κι έτσι αναγκάστηκε να μετεγκατασταθεί σε λυόμενο κτήριο.
 The old neoclassical building on Vasilissis Olga Street 3, was built in 1890-95 by a Bulgarian-born resident of the city, Theodoros Hatzimyshev, a Russian translator who had left the country and rented the property because of the Great War. Eventually the building was taken over by the Greek State in 1928.
In the late 19th century it housed the First Gymnasium of Men, the first Greek secondary school in Thessaloniki.
The building suffered extensive damage from the June 1978 earthquake and was forced to relocate to a dilapidated building.
