★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το σχολείο ξεκίνησε την λειτουργία του το έτος 1972-73 σαν ΙΑ' Λύκειο Αρρένων Θεσσαλονίκης. Το 1979-80 ξεκίνησε τη λειτουργία του το Γυμνάσιο Δενδροποτάμου. Με την πάροδο των χρόνων το Λύκειο μετονομάστηκε σε 2ο ΓΕΛ Μενεμένης, που λειτούργησε έως το σχολικό έτος 2012-13 οπότε και καταργήθηκε. Κατά το σχολικό έτος 2013-14 το σχολείο μετονομάστηκε σε 3ο Γυμνάσιο Μενεμένης με Λυκειακές Τάξεις.
 The school started operating in the year 1972-73 as the 11th Lyceum for Boys in Thessaloniki. In 1979-80 the Dendropotamos High School started its operation. Over the years, the Lyceum was renamed to 2nd GEL Menemeni, which operated until the school year 2012-13, when it was abolished. During the school year 2013-14 the school was renamed to 3rd Gymnasium of Menemeni with Lyceum Classes.
