Η 9η ομάδα προσκόπων ( Όπως ήταν η αρχική ονομασία ) ιδρύθηκε το 1924 από τον αρχηγό α' Τρεμμα Ιωάννη ο οποίος αργότερα διετέλεσε περιφερειακός έφορος. Στο ίδιο χώρο υπήρξε και η έδρα της Εφορείας Ανατολικής Θεσσαλονίκης, την σημερινή Τ.Ε.Ανάληψης στην οποία εντάσσονται τοτε Όλα τα συστήματα της Ανατολικής πλευράς. Το 9ο Σύστημα απο την αρχή πρόσφερε στην γειτονιά αλλά και στην πόλη με μόνη διακοπή το 1940 κατά την διάρκεια του πολέμου. Στις δεκαετίες του 1980 και 1990 μεσουράνησε καθώς είχε πλήθος νέων μελών με αποτέλεσμα την λειτουργία διπλών τμημάτων. Τα τμήματα του συστήματος σε δράσεις του έιχαν κατασκήνωσει από τον Έβρο μέχρι και την Γερμανία Στις επόμενες δεκαετίες Μέχρι και την οριστική παύση λειτουργίας το 2007 συνεχίζει να προσφέρει αλλά η μη προσέλευση νέων μελών έφερε το τέλος.
