★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tο 7ο ΓΕΛ ΑΘΗΝΩΝ βρίσκεται στο οικοδομικό τετράγωνο που περικλείεται από τις οδούς Σπ.Μερκούρη 20, Στράβωνος, Πρατίνου και Δουρίδος , το οποίο συστεγάζεται με το 7ο Γυμνάσιο Αθηνών.
Ανεγέρθηκε το 1931επί κυβερνήσεως Ελ. Βενιζέλου, με υπουργό Παιδείας τον Γ. Παπανδρέου. Στη διάρκεια της Κατοχής επιτάχθηκε από τους Ιταλούς, οι οποίοι εγκατέστησαν στρατιωτικό νοσοκομείο. Την ίδια περίοδο λειτουργούσε στο σχολείο και συσσίτιο για μαθητές, καθηγητές και όσους από τους κατοίκους της περιοχής είχαν άμεση ανάγκη. Οι καθηγητές είχαν αναλάβει την επίβλεψη της διανομής του.
Συγχωνεύθηκε με το 28ο ΓΕ.Λ. Αθηνών την 1η Σεπτεμβρίου 2011.
The 7th Lyceum of Athens is located in the block bounded by streets Sp.Merkouri 20 Strabo, Pratinou and Douris, which is co-located with the 7th Gymnasium of Athens.
It was built in 1931 by the government of El. Venizelos, with G. Papandreou Minister of Education. During the Occupation it was commanded by the Italians, who installed a military hospital. During the same period, there was a school and canteen for pupils, teachers and those in need in the area. The teachers had overseen its distribution.
Merged with 28th GEL. Athens on September 1, 2011.
