★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Γλυπτό της γλύπτριας Μαίρης Παπακωνσταντίνου, που απεικονίζει μια μητέρα να αγκαλιάζει το παιδί της. Γλυπτά με αυτό το θέμα συναντούμε σε πολλές πλατείες ανά την Ελλάδα, μιάς και η μητέρα είναι ένα κεντρικό πρόσωπο που τιμάται από την ελληνική κοινωνία.
Στην μπροστινή πλευρά του γλυπτού υπάρχει ανάγλυφη επιγραφή που αναφέρει:
Κρατάς τη σμίλη της ψυχής
Ναούς θυσίας υψώνεις
Δίνεις το νόημα της ζωής
Τον κόσμο θεμελιώνεις
Και κρούεις μίας μοίρας γήινης
Μ' αγάπη τον παιάνα
Άξια, μεγάλη, δυνατή,
Μα πρώτα απ' όλα μάνα...

On the front of the sculpture there is an embossed inscription that states:
