★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο Πεντάλοφος διαθέτει σημαντικό εύρος εκκλησιών, οι οποίες είναι χτισμένες από το 1700 μέχρι και πιο πρόσφατα το 1980, και καταδεικνύουν τη διαχρονική πίστη των κατοίκων.
Οι εκκλησίες άρχιζαν να χτίζονται συστηματικά σε διάσπαρτα μέρη του χωριού μετά την επανάσταση του 1821.Οι Τούρκοι, επειδή φοβόντουσαν πως οι κάτοικοι της περιοχής θα κατέφευγαν στο ελεύθερο πια ελληνικό κράτος, αποφάσισαν να τους παραχωρήσουν κάποια προνόμια, ένα εκ των οποίων ήταν η ανέγερση εκκλησιαστικών ναών.Έτσι, στο διάστημα 1850-88/90 ολοκληρώνονται όλες οι εκκλησίες, με αποτέλεσμα να αποκτήσουν όλες οι περιοχές, όχι μόνο ο Πεντάλοφος, ναούς.
