★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Von der Lage her eine der spektakulärsten Kirchen Kretas. Hoch über dem lybischen Meer in einer Höhle befindet sich dieses Kirchlein - sehr beeindruckend. Mit großer Sicherheit kein Platz für den Massentourismus, dazu ist die Anfahrt über Schotterpisten und Serpentinen zum Glück nicht für Busse geeignet. Und dann muss man noch ein paar Kilometer laufen. Nur Einheimische und Wanderfreunde trifft man hier. Die Höhle mit der Kirche liegt auf halben Weg von Ag. Ioanis zum Kloster Koudouma. Der kleine Umweg vom Wanderweg zum Kloster lohnt sich. Die Kirche ist offen und durch die Tür im Zaun erreichbar.
 In terms of location, one of the most spectacular churches in Crete. This little church is located high above the Libyan Sea in a cave - very impressive. There is definitely no room for mass tourism, and fortunately the approach via gravel roads and serpentines is not suitable for buses. And then you have to run a few more kilometers. Only locals and hikers can be found here. The cave with the church is halfway from Ag. Ioanis to Koudouma Monastery. The short detour from the hiking trail to the monastery is worthwhile. The church is open and accessible through the door in the fence.

Fantastic small church inside the cave of a huge rock. It is worth hiking there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πάρα πολύ ωραίο μέρος που πρέπει να πάτε αν επισκεφθείτε την Μ.Κουδουμά.Απέναντι από το πάρκινγκ της μονής υπάρχει ένα γεφυράκι όπου ξεκινάει το μανοπάτι προς την σπηλιά του Αγ.Αντωνίου.Η απόσταση που πρέπει να κάνετε δεν είναι και μικρή (έχει ανηφοροκατηφόρες) για αυτό έχετε μαζί σας νερό.Το Τοπίο θα σας αποζημιώσει 100% (για εμένα από τα πιο όμορφα μέρη της Κρήτης).Θα παρατηρήσετε δεξιά σας το καραβάκι που έχει ξεβράσει η θάλασσα καθώς προχωράτε για την σπηλιά (τέλειο για φωτογραφία).Ακολουθήστε το μονοπάτι και δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση να χαθείτε.Αξίζει όλη η διαδρομή και το σπήλαιο επίσης!!
Very nice place to go if you visit M. Koudouma. Opposite the parking lot of the monastery there is a bridge where the path to the cave of Agios Antonios begins. The distance you have to make is not small (it has uphill slopes) That's why you have water with you. The landscape will compensate you 100% (for me one of the most beautiful places in Crete). You will notice on your right the boat that has been washed away by the sea as you proceed to the cave (perfect for photography). path and there is no way to get lost. It is worth the whole route and the cave too !!
