★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Σήμερα στην περιοχή των Χαλάντρων βρίσκεται σχεδόν ερειπωμένος ο ναός του Αγίου Δημητρίου, δίπλα η μεγαλοπρεπής βασιλική του Αγίου Αρτεμίου και λίγο πιο κάτω ο ερειπωμένος συνοικισμός της "Κιουράς". Σύμφωνα με την παράδοση, αλλά και με αρχαιολογικές μαρτυρίες:
Κατά τη βυζαντινή εποχή της Ενετοκρατίας και Τουρκοκρατίας, το χωριό βρισκόταν στην τοποθεσία αυτή και αποτελούσε φέουδο των Φράγκων φεουδαρχών της εποχής. Τα ερείπιά του αποδεικνύουν ότι καταστράφηκε τελείως σε μια άγρια επιδρομή πειρατών κατά τον 15ο αιώνα περίπου.
 Today, in the area of Halandra, the temple of Agios Dimitrios is almost ruined, next to the majestic basilica of Agios Artemis and a little further down the ruined settlement of "Kioura". According to tradition, but also with archaeological evidence:
During the Byzantine era of Venetian domination and Ottoman domination, the village was at that location and was a feud of the Frankish feudalists of the time. Its ruins prove it was completely destroyed in a wild pirate raid in the 15th century.
