★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fantastic example of an authentic Greek Taverna. The true name of this place is Akrogiali and its owners Petros and Irini cook up fabulous dishes such as this mezes plate when you arrive to go with fine house wine. We had exceptional omeletes, green beans, vegetarian fare such as spinach,artichokes and peas, Greek salad, and his mixed grill, souvlakis and sausages are also excellent. The view is breathtaking, particularly during sunsets. This is a jewel of a find in a region full of good food and Petros is the best guy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most Lovely place in west Mani and the heart of Trachila. Pedro is such a heartwarming person and prepares All the Food with Tons of love. It is more simple Food like anchovys and souvlaki so dont expect complicated meals like Mousaka, but it is still authentic. Even in May a lot of tables were taken. We love this place so much and recommend it a hundred percent! If we come back to Mani, we will definetely come back to this lovely Tavern!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great find this taverna was . We hired bikes for the day and cycled from Stoupa to Trachila (distance 7 miles). Trachila is a very nice little village with a couple of taverna's . The one which was open was Akrogiali , we stopped here for a couple of beers before the ride back, we ordered our drinks and to our surprise Petros (the owner) brought us a plate of complementary meze which we thought was very welcoming . The beer ? was very reasonably priced .
