Quite a beautiful part of the ancient Acropolis of Farsala, the Municipality or a public body could simply be interested and turn it into a real attraction for the city.

If you come and go through Farsala you must see it ... especially if you are a nature lover! North with clear sky you will see Olympus and south east you will see Kassidiari ... The ancient Acropolis in the castle of ancient Farsalo and Fthia is still preserved in the birthplace of the mythical Achilles!

Στην υστεροαρχαϊκή περίοδο (τέλη του 6ου αιώνα π.Χ.) η πόλη της αρχαίας Φαρσάλου, ούσα πλούσια και ισχυρή, αρχίζει να περικλείεται από δυνατό τείχος, ενισχυμένο με πύργους και πύλες. Η κατασκευή του τείχους συνεχίστηκε έως και τον 4ο αιώνα π.Χ. Το τείχος ήταν εξολοκλήρου λίθινο και για την κατασκευή του χρησιμοποιήθηκε ντόπιος γκριζωπός ασβεστόλιθος. Το κυριώτερο σύστημα δόμησης του τείχους είναι το ισόδομο τραπεζιόσχημο. Σε μικρό μόνο τμήμα του, το πρωιμότερο χρονολογικά, έχει κτιστεί σύμφωνα με το πολυγωνικό σύστημα, με επίδραση της λέσβιας τοιχοδομίας, αλλά και με την έμπλεκτο τεχνική. Η συνολική περίμετρος του δεν ξεπερνούσε τα 5 χιλιόμετρα και το πάχος του κυμαίνεται από 1,50 έως 2,80 μέτρα. Σε όλη την περίμετρό του υπήρχαν είκοσι τρεις τετράπλευροι-ορθογώνιοι πύργοι, από τους οποίους είναι σήμερα ορατοί με σαφήνεια δεκαεννέα, ενώ έχουν εντοπισθεί τέσσερις πύλες και μία πυλίδα, επάνω στους άξονες των οδικών αρτηριών που οδηγούσαν στην πόλη. The construction of the wall continued until the 4th century BC. The wall was entirely made of stone and local grayish limestone was used for its construction. The main building system of the wall is the isodome trapezoidal shape. In only a small part of it, the earliest chronologically, it has been built according to the polygonal system, with the influence of lesbian masonry, but also with the involved technique. Its total perimeter did not exceed 5 km and its thickness ranges from 1.50 to 2.80 meters. There were twenty-three rectangular towers around its perimeter, of which nineteen are now clearly visible, while four gates and a gate have been located on the axes of the highways that led to the city.
