Al Hammam Traditional Baths - Pl. El. Venizelou 14

My husband and I did one of the couples packages for our honeymoon and it was truly, truly worth every euro (and then some). The massages were excellent quality and full length. As someone who has never had a hammam experience, the steam and bath portions of the couples treatment were beyond what I expected. We opted for a package with a private hammam and appreciated the quite and calm as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the staff that cared for us. Would truly recommend to anybody.

Thankfully I ignored some of the reviews on here because I had an excellent 1 hour deep tissue massage. After a 3 hour horse ride and 2 hour hike today wasn't expecting much from the massage (due to reviews) but was so good. Clean, relaxing, no background noise and my own private room to change and private locker. I've had massages all over the world and this is up there with the best. She didn't cut the time short (though mine was the indoor one), good pressure and really nice body oils. Worth every euro ❤️

Thank you to Al-Hammam Chania for two of the best massages of our entire lives. This hammam is very welcoming with a homey, authentic vibe. They serve Turkish delights and tea with your treatment. The hammam steam room looks and feels right out of a history book in the best way possible -- marble walls and floors, authentic bronze buckets and pails to wash yourself with, along with hot hot steam. My husband and I enjoyed the 'Harmony' Couples Package for Two, which was a great price for what you get. It includes an hour in the hammam steam (15 mins of that is getting the scrubdown and face mask) then a 90 minutes hot-stone infused relaxation massage. Pure bliss. The Ottoman heritage that inspired this luxurious spa on Crete is certainly one of the best things the Turks left behind. Just make sure to double-check the location when you're booking online as there's a Crete location in Chania and a mainland location in Athens.

My partner and I had the Kara Sabun (hammam + scrub), hair wash and the couples massage during our stay in Chania. When we walked into the hammam, there was zero steam as it wasn't even on. We had to wait 15 minutes for it to come on and begin working. By the time the room had steam, we were called away for the body scrub, so we didn't even get to enjoy the benefits of being in the hammam. The scrub was fine, however, the hair wash was very disappointing and left my hair extremely tangled. The couples massage was average - it didn't feel like they were professionally trained. It was a budget experience with a luxury price tag.

I went for the self-hammam and was a little disappointed. I got the foot bath add on and it was just a fizzy bath bomb put in a tub of water. Also I don’t know if this is normal, but I had a hard time breathing in the steam room because it was so strong. The staff was not very friendly. Also when I went to shower, I didn’t realize the changing room was unisex. The showers were also not very clean. I wouldn’t recommend this place for the price.

3 of us enjoyed the hammam, sherbet and kese treatments today. Wonderful steam hammam and exfoliation afterwards. Enjoyed the experience.

It was the bessst Hammam & massage everrrr in my whole life I have tried massage across the world with countries and never ever felt that before.. They are wayyyy more professional and they’re in love in what they do .. you can notice that and they’re too kind, lovely and generous!!! I felt like a million bucks leaving there. The staff was really nice and respectful. The steam room is very beautiful and feels great. They provide water to drink and there's also water to pour on yourself when it starts getting a little steamy in there. The cleanse itself was very relaxing and my skin felt great walking out of there, it was awesome ??
