★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Αγόρασα προσφάτως βιβλίο σε ηλεκτρονική έκδοση (e-book), καθώς εδώ και πολλά χρόνια χρησιμοποιώ e-reader. Έκπληκτος διεπίστωσα ότι το αγορασμένο αρχείο ήταν μορφής .pdf αντί κάποιου format για e-reader (πχ epub), γεγονός που το καθιστά άχρηστο για τον σκοπό που το αγόρασα. Σημειώνω δε ότι ο τύπος του αρχείου δεν αναφέρεται πουθενα στην σελίδα, καθώς αν το είχα δεί, θα προτιμούσα το hard copy.
Οι ελληνικοί εκδοτικοί οίκοι και τα βιβλιοπωλεία θα πρέπει κάποια στιγμή να καταλάβουν ότι τα αρχεία .pdf, αν και ψηφιακά ΔΕΝ είναι e-books, ενώ το κατάστημα θα πρέπει να αναφέρει ρητά τον τύπο του αρχείου στην περιγραφή του προϊόντος.
I recently bought a book in electronic version (e-book), as I have been using e-reader for many years. I was surprised to find that the purchased file was in .pdf format instead of an e-reader format (eg epub), which makes it useless for the purpose for which I purchased it. I note that the file type is not mentioned anywhere on the page, as if I had seen it, I would have preferred the hard copy.
Greek publishers and bookstores should at some point understand that .pdf files, although digital, are NOT e-books, while the store should explicitly state the type of file in the product description.
