★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Christian and Stella the owners are very friendly and oh my God the food was so fresh and tasty. Service is amazing. This is definitely the place to eat while in Aegina. Octopus, calamari, sardines, fresh fish, you name it everything is amazing. Thank you Christian and thank you Stella for the amazingly tasty food we had for lunch. We will definitely come back and eat here next time when in Aegina!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve been in Greece a week and visiting Ammos has been a special highlight. Highly recommended by our friends Vlassis and Dan.
It’s a beachside restaurant on Marathonas, one of the best beaches in Greece (in July, the always clear and clean water was warm enough even for me, a guy who hates cool ocean water).
We got there around 1 pm, ordered drinks and food and went for a swim (you can walk several hundred yards into the water, depending on your height). By the time we got back, the food and drink arrived and we ate like kings (see the pix). We strongly recommend the marinated octopus, the grape leaves, the 5-hour beef, the fish-on-ice you can select yourself, and the hot pot.
We went out into the water again and just had the best day. Wow. Would love to visit again.
If you make it to Aegina, don’t miss Ammos!

Yesterday we had similar dishes in Athens, Glyfada for the double price, half portions and the taste was far aeay from this one. Really a culinary highlight of our vacation in Greece.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Ammos twice during my 2 day visit to Aegina...
It was simply incredible! The service was impeccable and the food was out of this world. The setting is also beautiful, makes for a great sunset view with a glass of wine.
As a vegetarian I was really nervous about what I'd be able to eat but Ammos had so many amazing options - especially the Aubergine!!!
The one thing I would suggest is perhaps phasing out plastic straws!
Thank you so much for such amazing food, I'll definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family restaurant run by father, mother and son. Greek, English and French spoken fluently. Reasonable parking on weekdays. Very good service. Good quality and reasonable prices. Excellent location on the water side of a sandy beach. Highly recommended. Extremely busy on long weekends/Holidays.
