Great food and very nice host. He showed me around the kitchen and showed me the refrigerator with all fresh sea food. Great experience!

We ordered the Seafood plate for two and it was not worth the price at all. We paid 40 Euros for 1 fish, pieces of calamari and octopus, salad, and potatoes. The fish was average tasting, the octopus was very chewy and hard, and the calamari was mushy. Overall for all the good reviews and things we heard about this place, we were left very disappointed in our dinner experience.

We’ve heard a lot about this place but it did not live up to expectations. Too expensive for what it offered. The stuffed calamari was bland, not much flavour. The octopus was too chewy and without much flavour either. The staff was nice.

Super cute restaurant with fresh fish. The other dishes - saganaki and veal stew were so comforting. Neatly decorated and wonderful service. Huge portions.

I was expecting the Greek way of Shrimo saganaki but the taste is different. I like more the one with tomato and feta cheese but anyway, the serving is generous and the shrimps are large. They will also put bread in your table even though you did not ask only to find out that they will charge it later of you eat. But anyway, they gave a free dessert, a custard jelly!

Perfect seafood restaurant! Less expensive than its rivals across the port. Everything was well cooked, octopus and calamari tender and fresh. Quick service with a smile. Definitely recommended ?

This food is so good it will make you cry ( happy mastic tears). The sun seasoned octopus and mackerel caught my eye as we walked by; a flag of a unique gastronomic experience. Unsure if this was our destination, the waiter ushered us into the kitchen where he showed us the fresh catch of the day by maybe an hour. Brilliant red mullet, fresh snapper, rock fish and barracuda perfectly preserved in ice was an overload from being giddy with excitement! We chose barracuda, but we’re tempted for the rockfish. In an attempt to have Naxoan food, it was recommended to have the barracuda. Before I continue, I would like to advise you to not rush your food. Prepare your mind to wait in anticipation for what is next. Beautiful fresh baked bread will come out, but taste it lightly as the best as yet to come! A complimentary tasting of smoked oysters on a terama mousse (a full crème with a light freshness) garnished with local olive oil and kitron was an elevating start to this gastronomic monastery. Enter the barracuda, embellished on the left with soft boiled potatoes with a fresh olive oil and parsley drizzle and on the right a locally harvested salad with grape tomatoes and a dijon-style vinaigrette. This steak-of-the-sea was grilled with a crispy skin and was light in flavor, no overwhelming sea taste. Minimal bones to interrupt your feast! Sips of Ouzo done properly will complement your dish, just as the waiter if you are unsure. Here, the bread is a perfect sponge to absorb all the juices on the bottom of the dish. A semolina cake with Naxoan marmalade dusted lightly with coconut flakes will end your taste adventure. Be sure to look around at other meals being served to see the quality, presentation and pride going into each dish. This is food from heaven! Tell them Chris and Daniela sent you!
