Peccato che l'acqua e la battigia fossero piene di spazzatura portata dal mare, ce ne siamo andati subito. The view from the top is beautiful, the descent to the beach that we found deserted was a bit complicated. Too bad that the water and the shoreline were full of garbage brought from the sea, we left immediately.
R	Roberto Roberto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrivare a questa spiaggia è stata un'impresa, il percorso è lungo, non è ben segnalato, la discesa alla spiaggia è molto avventurosa (alla fine siamo scesi su un ghiaione). Si arriva in una spiaggia in ghiaia totalmente selvaggia inserita in un tratto di costa spettacolare. Purtroppo la gente del loco sembra non faccia nulla per mantenere pulita questa spiaggia, quando siamo andati noi era piena di catrame (e poi abbiamo dovuto buttare via un asciugamano) e c'era abbastanza immondizia. Nonostante tutto conservo un bel ricordo di questa spiaggia ma ci vuole stomaco per fermarsi. Getting to this beach was a challenge, the path is long, it is not well marked, the descent to the beach is very adventurous (in the end we went down on a scree). You arrive at a totally wild pebble beach set in a spectacular stretch of coast. Unfortunately the locals seem to do nothing to keep this beach clean, when we went it was full of tar (and then we had to throw away a towel) and there was enough garbage. Despite everything I keep a good memory of this beach but it takes stomach to stop.

Από τον Σταυρό ακολουθούμε το μονοπάτι Νο 1 για Καλοταρίτισσα, στα 900 μέτρα από την έναρξη του μονοπατιού βρίσκουμε μια ξύλινη πόρτα στα αριστερά μας, την ανοίγουμε κ συνεχίζουμε προς τον Ξυλομπάτη.Το μονοπάτι απο αυτό το σημείο αυτό κ μετα δεν είναι σηματοδοτημένο. Ammoudi is a small pebbly beach at the beginning of Xylobatis. From Stavros we follow path # 1 to Kalotaritissa, 900 meters from the beginning of the path we find a wooden door on our left, we open it and continue to Xylobatis. The path from this point to this point is not marked yet.
W	Waldemar Kerschbaumer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every day we tried another beach and we choose this one, because it's on the official Donoussa Island Map at the Port. What a shame calling that beach! They should remove it from the map. When you walk there from top of the mountain (you need good shoes) it seems a very beautiful and isolated beach, but when you arrive you get the surprise… how much waste here! On the north side of islands it can happen some litter sometimes due to the waves, but we were really shocked to see all that trash on higher places of the beach. This is not trash from some week, but from YEARS. No one of the island municipal authorities or tourism offices controlled the beaches they list on their map at the port? It's really a shame!
