There's no way in, apparently the Theatre is under reconstruction in the time of visiting Larissa.

The ancient theater of Larissa is an impressive architectural structure, located in the heart of the city, in the center of an urban area. And its integration into the environment is inspiring as it connects the glorious historical past of the place, to the present, and gives the feeling as if the time stands still. The theater was constructed in the first half of the 3rd century BC (during the reign of King Philip V of Macedonia), and it had a seating capability of 10,000 people. Over the years, however, it was destroyed and mostly buried underground. During the last century, a number of buildings were built on the area of the site (that was mostly covered), including the Town Clock and the old Bishop’s Palace, but the archaeological finds discovered during the laying of the foundations, revealed that the buildings were sitting on a valuable archeological site. As a result, under the leadership of the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Larissa Municipality, a large-scale project that included the demolition of the old buildings together with extensive archeological excavation, and rehabilitation and restoration work, was planned and conducted in four phases, between the years 1992 – 2008 and the final magnificent result is seen today!! However, the project has not over yet, and the restoration works are planned to be completed at 2022, thus returning to this amazing site its glory and greatness!
