★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the second biggest museum in Greece, is about the old Mycenae settlement discovered in Patras. Modern futuristic style, big and enjoyable. Naturally not scheduled opening informations outside, you have to cross the finger and ask to someone hoping to get correct answers. Another not the pleasant point, when you are inside, even if employees are very nice, they follow you step by step as ducks with their babies

Everything is presented very professionally, all of the exhibits have had a lot of thought put into not just how they are displayed but how the average visitor will see them. There are screens showing videos and information about what you're seeing. It's overall a very concise museum that takes you through the history of the city from ancient times til today. It's facade is also lovely and makes the building stick out and hard to miss. The only downside is the location but if you have a car it shouldn't be to much trouble getting there. Very stellar experience overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nicely preserved mosaic floors from Roman times. Also, Mycenaean pottery, some rare pieces from even 1100 BC! Nice layout. Worth a quick visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly a hidden Gem. Patras has much more too see than gritty urban port-life and the uni-vibe, cool as they are , it’s Patras’ past on dazzling show here. A must see. I spent 3 hours there. Back for more in January.
