Dommage
The place is beautiful, the journey to get there is picturesque and worth a look, the opportunity for a nice walk. However, the site does not have any information or indications. Pity

A great place to be alone, enjoying the views of the mountains. Not promoted and free.

Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the long way over steep serpentines is worth it. But you have a nice view over the Libyan Sea.

Access to the site by a magnificent mountain road with a view of the snow-capped summit of Ditki. You have to take a rocky path on the right where the road turns into a track and do not continue on the track that goes up. We arrive at the entrance to the site through a door that was open. Very beautiful place with the remains of the temple crossed by mountain streams and absolute calm.

To enjoy such site one needs a bit of imagination. But it's the first time I was able to actually explore the ruins myself without having to follow the signs.. Empty, mysterious.. I loved it. The road is generally good, only the last bit is not asfalted, but it's close enough to the main road to walk. The views are stunning too.

The route to the temple precinct is a little bit of a mission. If you've reached the dirt road you've gone too far. But just before the asphalt disappears there is a sign on the right hand side of the road with a gravel road that turns right, from here you can see the bottom fenced boundary of the site. This is the entrance point and a minutes drive from this point along the gravel road will situate you outside the entry gate. The site is not guarded, other Than a boundary fence which encircles the complex. There are no entry fees nor do I think there is any sort of opening hours. The entry gate is unlocked. The site is beautiful and there are no markings as to what is where, but take your time to scramble across the old foundations of the temple and surrounding buildings, enjoy the holy spring which literally leaks the freshest, coldest water into a stream which runs through the ruins itself. It is a wonderful experience to able to explore without boundiaries the ancient foundations, and with the old ostraki (pottery shards) literally strewn across the ground you can play archeologist and historian at the same time. The air is perfumed with pine and earth and the road to the site is beautiful (and sometimes quite winding). I loved the experience immensely.
