★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the area to cater to my wife's yoga retreat. We stayed around Lefokastro area and I shopped at there everyday. ( Sometimes twice in a day. ) Shop staffs were so friendly and kind. They have good range of groceries from fresh seasonable vegetable, wines to house hold staffs. This was my first visit to Greece and this place was such a magical place! Whole this community reminded me my childhood a lot. Thank you very much for letting us having there. Hope to see you again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place to stop while on your way to the beaches of South Pelion. Few shops and tavernas, and also a gas station is literally at the main square.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arriving in Argalasti and entering the village, your attention will be drawn to the large marble neoclassical bell tower - clock of the church of Agios Apostolos. It is an exceptional example of architecture of the beginning of our century and is an exact copy of the bell tower of Agia Fotini, in Smyrna.
It has a square base with a side length of 10m. and a height of 25 m., two Russian bells and a Swiss watch. It is said to have been built in 1912 from marble and is the work of the architect Perpignan.
A must-see in S. Pelion.
