★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice place to explore, lots of picturesque views. The harbor with its promenade is a good idea for relaxing walk with a scone of ice-cream. Lovely place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Capital of Cephalonia, beautiful clean and picturesque. Lots of tourists but also many locals too. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Where we stayed we walked to Argostoli in 20 mins and 6 euro taxi back. Taxi rank in the square all taxis burgundy old style Mercedes. It's a lovely place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the place. Very cosmopolitan and friendly. Loads of things to visit plus superbly clean and beautiful beaches only a few kilometers around. You must visit the quaint Lixouri town and its nice countryside beautiful beaches (Petani beach is one of the best everrr) and zen villages with breathtaking views of the sea and mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely town. Great to see the turtles, lots of fish too. Very busy after 11/12 am so go early if you want to get parked. Loads of places to eat and get boat trips.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Port of Entry. Every year we make stop here for a while to wait fair wind. Nice for shopping and explore whole island. Find Leo (agent) and he will help you with all formalities and even more - laundry, taxi, rent-a-car etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The harbour here is the place to see the Loggerhead Turtle's, arrive about 10.30 when the fishermen return. Nice shopping promenade with all the usual eatery's and coffee shops.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful scenario in a wonderful panorama. The small town is not ancient, but is very quite and cozy. The best place to stay in Kefalonia to enjoy the sea and to have daily trips in the large island.
