★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a wonderful green park area in the center of the town with big history because it is build on ancient Jewish cemetery. The entrances in park are with private security so it’s safer for walk with kids and family. Clean and beautiful place and for weekends it’s open and for parking area but I am not sure if you pay. However nice place for picnic or some quiet outdoor place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the biggest university campuses in Greece. With lots of green spaces. It is rather a big park and so close in downtown. So glad I had the opportunity to study both as an undergraduate and as a Ph.D. student. Too bad it is neglected and not that adequately procured. It has attracted some not so good people. It is not considered safe any more even to cross it in noon, let alone during after sunset hours. This is sad. Be that as it may, IMHO, it still remains one of the crown jewels of the city.
