★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic quiet getaway in the off season. We travelled to this little marvel with a family of 7 with two little children. Hence it was a challenge, but the village was overwhelmingly child friendly. They catered to our every need instantly. We spent a total of 10 days and every single day was an adventure, whether it was at the restaurant, cafe, feeding the cats, picking the nectarines, watching the goats and lambs in the back garden or splashing in the pool and waterfall. When we checked out, we got hugs and kisses, and a bag of goodies and gifts- it truly made us feel as if at home with family. The staff were all amazing. We were even able to visit the owner's childhood village high in the mountain of Ida, the tallest mountain in Crete. A great big thank you and we hope to see you soon in our Friends of The Jungle holiday Lodge in the Amazon Iquitos Peru ?♥️?

Because of covid and that we all have to be careful and follow some rules, one thing I didn't like was that the staff was not wearing face masks and was touching the cutlery from the side we use to eat (mostly knives) while placing it on the table. They were also talking over our shoulders while serving our food.
Highly recommend though. Will surely visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s an absolute amazing place. Such a great blend between traditional Crete and technically well equipped facilities (airconditioning, internet, etc.). Pool area, restaurant, streets and even their chubby dog are just so amazing. Only downside is the (near) lack of public transportation to the city; you best have rented a car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful experience. Great setting, not too far from the city but far enough for beautiful views. Super friendly hosts, nothing too much trouble. Great atmosphere in the restaurant where live music takes place on some evenings. A great place to chill. Rooms basic but clean and serviced daily. Highly recommended.
