★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you visting the Monastery of (Hosios) Osios Loukas, do take a 20 minute drive towards the Kyriaki village and follow the signs to Arvanista Tavern. Magnificent views to the mountains covered by fir tress and olive groves.
If returning to Athens to ask for directions as there is a wonderful route via elikona in to Livadeia town (short cut) rather than returning from the same road you came from.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even in winter, this is such a warm place full of people, families and even dogs! You can have your drinks inside the cafe or outside where they put chairs and tables. Since they also have a big lawn, you can explore the area and even play in the snow!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a restaurant in the middle of Arvanitsa forest, that actually exceeded my expectations.
Incredibly fast service, great portions, and tasty food.
I highly recommend eating but be warned that mobile services are not available there and last time i visited the wifi was not working as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most beautiful locations at the Helicon mountain. The cafe is located into an amazing forest with trim gardens and a small playground for kids. Coffee, food drinks and refreshments are offered at the indoor as well as at the outdoor seating of the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, wonderful playground provided by the tavern for children. You can even rent state of the art mountain bicycles from them at Arvanitsa, many beautiful tracks to explore not difficult to access.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most beautiful places that one could visit. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in some kind of movie/tale. The area also has a playground for children.
The food was tasty, inexpensive (for its value), and the service was extremely kind.
There is a variety of different dishes from grilled buffalo stake, to slow cooked rooster with traditional pasta. Definitely you should try out their house wine (especially the red one) and specialty dishes.
After every heart-warming meal, you also get a sweet treat (orange cake) along with some home-made mastic liqueur.
All that on a Saturday evening.
