In 1992, Fotis Vlachos, the founder of Asiana Ltd., recognized the lack of Asian food products in Greece. It was obvious that most of the arriving Asian immigrants at the time missed the unforgettable, tasty food of their native countries, so he decided to do something about it. He travelled to all parts of Asia getting acquainted with the flavors and cultures of the regions, while gathering precious information required to commence imports upon his return. Soon enough, products from all over Asian were imported and initial sales started through his own retail outlet SALAMAT which still remains in operation today, managed by his eldest children. This adventure grew within the years to follow from which Asiana Ltd., a specialized Oriental food company was born.

Over the years, the company mainly grew by word of mouth, giving us the idea to attach a slogan to our company title, “Your secret partner…” Having so many satisfied return customers while annually gaining market share, we are positioned among the top Asian Food suppliers in Greece. Today, our company carries over 1,500 items which are constantly replenished and updated in order to keep up with the market trends. We only select the finest quality through our international suppliers, in that way guaranteeing maximum customer satisfaction. Our range includes carefully selected “A-brand” and other products from all over Asia as well as many house brands and customer tailored products. Fresh Tropical Fruits & Vegetables are imported by air on a regular basis from Thailand while other perishable products are imported from Europe. Even though we believe our assortment should be able to cover the most demanding customers, we are always open to new suggestions, ideas and propositions.
