★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's ok. Very spacious with well-arranged outdoor sitting areas offering a very nice view to Chalkis. But that's all it had to offer when we visited Asteria for a drink. The cocktails we ordered did not live up to expectations since they were filled with ice rather than alcohol.Service was ok though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One star due to the lack of precautions during the COVID19 pandemic.Lack of antiseptics in visible places.Most importantly our waiter was 'wearing' her mask under her chin and was talking and splashing her saliva on us and our coffees at a distance of 30cm. We kindly reminded her about social distancind and that she needs to wear her mask and her response was 'Don't worry, I'm feeling fine'. So were we until we met her!! Unacceptable unprofessional and high risk behaviour. Although this is a wonderful place by the sea we would completely discourage anyone to visit due to high risk of exposure to a possible covid19 case. The managers team are strongly advised to train their personnel and audit their compliance in protective measures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice beach and one of the most clean waters because they are constantly moving. Ideal place for a coctail in the evening but also a good choice for a coffee or food. Expect high prices ( freddo cappuccino=4€, Cesar salad=9€) but the amazing atmosphere is definitely worth a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice beach bar and restaurant. The prices of the drinks vary between the restaurant and the coffee bar. Although the service in the restaurant is better than the one in the café, the soda prices are cheaper by fifty Cents in the first one. I don't get this policy. The coffee of the beach bar tasted great. Nice people gathering around - especially on Sundays.
There is a playground for kids as well.
The food at the restaurant is overpriced. There is no reason because the quality is average. The presentation on the wooden plates is something we liked. The staff was very friendly.

UPDATE: 2022 Service has been much better for brunch and drink service at a table
