ATHINA TSANGARI & CO. E.E. "HAOS FILM" - Agiou Markou 10

HAOS FILM was born in 1997 in Austin, Texas, as a collaboration between director/producer Athina Rachel Tsangari and editor/designer Matt Johnson.

In 2004 it was our honor to produce all the video aspects of the Opening & Closing Ceremonies of the Athens Olympic Games.

We founded our production company in downtown Athens in 2007. As a producer HAOS has collaborated with innovative filmmakers such as Yorgos Lanthimos (producing his “Kinetta” and “Alps”, associate producing his Oscar©-nominated “Dogtooth”). In 2012 HAOS was the Greek production-services company for Richard Linklater’s Oscar©-nominated “Before Midnight”.

We have produced four award-winning films directed by Athina herself: “The Slow Business of Going” (2001), “Attenberg” (2010 - winner of the Coppa Volpi for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival), “The Capsule” (2012), and “Chevalier” (2015 - winner of Best Film at the BFI London Film Festival and nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Independent Spirit Awards)

Always devoted to discovering and supporting young talent, HAOS' latest production was Georgis Grigorakis' debut feature "Digger", which premiered at the Panorama section of the 70th Berlinale and was awarded the Art Cinema CICAE Award. Digger was also awarded the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Actor at the 26th Sarajevo FF, the Silver Alexander Special Jury Award at the 61st Thessaloniki IFF, and 10 Iris Awards by the Hellenic Film Academy in 2021.

Our next project coming out in 2022 is the creative documentary feature "Ladies in Waiting" by Ioanna Tsoucala.
