★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little gem introduced to us by a friend. We visited in winter and sat indoors in a warm and cozy room. Can’t wait to see what it’s like sitting in the pretty little courtyard in summer. Great food (the lamb cleftico is a must) great service and well priced for the quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful restaurant in Exarcheia, it is not on the beaten path, and therefore a pleasant surprise when you come across it! It is surrounded by trees, on a quiet cobble stone street. The food is really tasty, inspired by Greek flavours with a bit of a spin, so one can find both traditional and refined dishes. Their fava was excellent, as well as the dishes of the day (pork with mushrooms, salad with goat cheese). Also, we had the white wine (barrel), and it was delicious! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful local, rustic little gem! We are staying nearby and saw Avli had great reviews so came for a late dinner after a busy day sightseeing. Every single dish we tried was spot on, delicious and so fresh! We had fava beans, spinach and spring greens in a pastry, wild mushroom risotto and a tuna steak (basically all recommended or specials by the lovely owner) - couldn’t fault any of them, absolutely delicious! We ordered one of the white wines and it was just as good. If you are visiting Athens, this is a must… service from the owner was great as well, super friendly and helpful.
This rave review isn’t an ad, just a massive fan of the place…!

Everything was fresh - which is 100% appreciated - the mixed salad was nice - a bit too sweet for my granny - with cashew nuts and raisins,
The cannelloni with spinach and mushrooms was mediocre - you could feel the fresh cream a lot so that was a bit weird,
The cheese pie was very good - the greens inside were giving it a fresh taste,
The dessert - panacota - was good, not a lot of sugar and the cherries were giving it a very nice feeling,
We've been given for free 2 shots of Masticha spirit with 2 small tartes with lemon cream,
This place is recommended, I would try it if I were you and maybe I would come back again!
