They gave us very interesting information about Crete and they really paid attention to the group. The communication was also very easy and quick with Balos Travel. They were very helpful. I definitely recommend the agency.
P	Paweł Wawrzuta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attention to every cyclist - if you are in Kissamos this is the best place to rent a bike (bicycle) after my very bad experience with the previous rental place we checked this one to rent a bikes for Balos - the best decision - bikes in a very good shape well maintained service very professional and trustworthy I wish I check them at the very first time to avoid previous disappointment; trip to Balos with these bikes was pleasant

Right after money was paid in full, bus guide woman announced that due to fire hazards we wouldn’t be able to explore Balos beach, but only swim around the ferry. This was subsequently changed one hour later; we wouldn’t be allowed in Balos beach but stay on ferry, even though people were seen swimming just ahead of us. We stayed on the moving ferry for over 4 hours. My wife and daughter vomited twice and I was suffering from overheat and dizziness after stationed for such a long time on a ferry in constant motion. Later it was announced that we could disembark the ferry to Gramvousa Island. However ordered everyone back on board within 35 minutes! We literally stayed on the island only 35 minutes, with barely being able to swim once and get a bite to eat, instead of two promised hours stayed less than three quarters of an hour. Balos beach 3-hour stay was completely skipped. We have therefore received only a fraction of the services we were supposed to for the price paid. After complained, along with many fellow travellers, company finally decided to pay back a funny sum. Mr George would not pick the phone and explain, or pay. Such a let down, we are very disappointed from this company. They are cons and should be prosecuted.
N	Nicholas Dounetas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly a unique experience. An amazing beach. We went by boat which was only an hour trip and enjoyable. Just be warned that the path from the boat to the beach is a bit rocky, but it is worth the walk. You can also go by car but it is a dirt road all the way and you have a 20 minute hike down and then back up a mountain.

If you want to go to Samaria and your Hotel is along the northern coast between Kissamos and Chania, this is the agency to contact Update 8/2019: this time everything went smooth. Upgraded to 5 stars. Last year pickup from hotel was 45min late
T	Tony I on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a trip organized by Balos Travel from Palanias/Agia Marina to Samarian Gorge -- everything went exactly according to plan. In total the trip was about 40€ per person, including private mini-bus pick up, travel to gorge, entrance to the national park, ferry ride from Agia Roumeli to Sougia after the hike, and mini-bus drive back to hotel. I highly recommend this excursion! The pictures don't do the beauty justice, and the gorge's majesty simply cannot be adequately captured on camera! It must be witnessed first hand! Come prepared with STURDY HIKING SHOES, a small water bottle, a hat, and maybe a swimsuit for after in a small backpack. P.S. -- we had Dimitris as a tourguide, and he is absolutely fantastic!!! Full of knowledge, patient, helpful, respectful, and willingly goes the extra mile (pun intended ;-) ). Thank you guys for the highlight of my trip, and an unforgettable journey!!!!

J	Jussi Tervola on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The trip to Balos and Gramvoussa was nice and unique experience! A recommendation. Minus one star because it was so packed and no chance to have safe distance. And most people don't wear masks which was against the general safety rules. However, the "ventilation" was good on the deck. Plus the cruise stayed only one hour at Gramvousa although two hours was stated in the web page. I would have hoped two hours in that interesting island. Two hours instead of three would have been enough in Balos in my opinion.
