All the goodness of good coffee in a lovely bean! This is a long-overdue review of my old-time favoured JAVA providers in the city of Drama, Greece. First off, if you love good coffee and especially espresso, then you will find a several carefully curated arabica blends and a few single origins beans too. Their online shop is clean, functional and has almost everything you could wish for. But of course, the main attraction is coffee and I can easily say that these guys have nailed it. Not only they managed to bring excellent quality coffee beans in our hands, but they have done so without charging an arm and a leg for it. They are living proof that good coffee is not necessarily super expensive and having tried almost everything they have on tap I can honestly say that their Chicco Nero blend is among the best. We are talking 100% Arabica beans from Brazil, Ethiopia and Guatemala. From the single origin selection, one of my favourites is "Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural". A light flavoured and fruity bean full of aroma and sweet aftertaste. Another thing I love about Barista-shop is that they have Roast dates on their coffee bags and make it a point to provide fresh beans every time. If you happen to drive by Drama or staying there for the weekend do take the time to say hello and buy your coffee from their shop. The owner is always happy to share his passion for JAVA, let you try a shot or two and greet you with a smile. Although they do their business mainly online, it's still a good opportunity to get to know the people who make it all happen. Nothing fancy, but good coffee and warm smiles all around.
