We ate in one of the Michelin starred restaurants in Athens a few days later and the quality and taste combinations were certainly on a par. If the portions weren't so generous I think we would have tried every dish on the menu. The owner was lovely as well, sure this place will pick up many accolades in the future!

Other places like this can be traps...owners can be Fawlty-esque, all over you like rain in a storm. Here, the owner genuinely wants you to enjoy yourself, and the cooking, while not always full score, is always aiming to please. Winners include the crevice and the lamb. Both as authentic as a placido Domingo aria, and just as pleasing. The wine list is easily the best on the island. The service literally could not be better, whether by the owner or his trusty side kick. The view is tops and the whole thing an experience of relief, pleasure and memory.

Utmost attention to every detail from food quality to the warmest welcoming touch of Tikas, the restaurant owner. The place is located at a charming terrace-style little square at Trypiti, with an amazing view to the sea and surrounded by traditional greek houses. The service is gentle and concerned always about the experience of eating at Barriello. Food is simply amazing, there are no further comments to describe it. It deserves Michelin-star for the overall experience, truly recommended.

It’s such a special cuisine that we were all silent so positively surprise that what could be a more modern cuisine from an amazing Greek chief - you re in good hands, he is so welcoming and passionate, what a pleasure to feel that everything is just perfect, as textures, respect of the product and innovative look to it. We had the pleasure to head there the night of my birthday and I couldn’t wish for something better. Wish you the same experience and can’t wait to come back to experiment the new menu. Fantastic team and congrats to the chef to share that love of cooking with us.

Worthy of Michelin consideration (and better than some of their fine dining competitors in Athens). Truly a highlight and highly recommend. One suggestion would be to play some background music, it is very quiet outside and many of the guests were lowering their voices or even whispering to not disturb the others. But truly a can't-miss restaurant

It started raining while we were sitting outside, and the owner, Takis, took it upon himself to accommodate us inside and make it a special experience despite the logistical challenges. We ended up staying very late and sharing wine and deserts and it was one of the best meals we have had in Greece.
