★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο Νίκος Σβορώνος (1911-1989) υπήρξε ένας μεγάλος Λευκαδίτης δάσκαλος της ιστορικής επιστήμης με έργο διεθνούς αναγνώρισης.
Η συλλογή του παραχωρήθηκε από τους κληρονόμους του στο Δήμο Λευκάδας και στεγάστηκε στο κτίριο της Χαραμογλείου Ειδικής Λευκαδιακής Βιβλιοθήκης, στην πλατεία Μαρκά στο κέντρο της πόλης.
Αποτελείται από χιλιάδες βιβλία, έγγραφα, αποκόμματα εφημερίδων, σπάνια φυλλάδια και εφημερίδες του ΄40 και του αντιδικτατορικού αγώνα (1967 – 1974) και αδημοσίευτες διδακτορικές διατριβές.
Τα βιβλία είναι ταξινομημένα με βάση τις ακόλουθες κατηγορίες: περιοδικά ξένα, περιοδικά ελληνικά, βιβλιογραφίες, λεξικά, επετηρίδες, στατιστικές, συνέδρια, βιβλία και εργασίες Νίκου Σβορώνου, βιβλία τέχνης, πηγές-κείμενα, αδημοσίευτες διδακτορικές διατριβές, βιβλία για τον Εμφύλιο και την Αντίσταση, σπάνια φυλλάδια και έντυπα του Εμφυλίου Πολέμου, ιστορικά βιβλία στην Ελληνική γλώσσα, βιβλία στις βασικές ευρωπαϊκές γλώσσες, βιβλία στις σλαβικές και τη ρουμάνικη γλώσσα, βιβλία και περιοδικά τουρκολογίας, Δίκαιο και Ιστορία των Θεσμών, βιβλία που ενδιέφεραν ιδιαίτερα τον Νίκο Σβορώνο, βιβλία με αξιοσημείωτες αφιερώσεις.
 Nikos Svoronos (1911-1989) was a great Lefkadian teacher of historical science with a work of international recognition.
His collection was donated by his heirs to the Municipality of Lefkada and housed in the building of the Haramoglio Special Lefkada Library, in Marka Square in the city center.
It consists of thousands of books, documents, newspaper clippings, rare leaflets and newspapers of the '40 and the dictatorial struggle (1967 - 1974) and unpublished doctoral dissertations.
The books are sorted by the following categories: foreign journals, Greek journals, bibliographies, dictionaries, journals, statistics, conferences, books and works by Nikos Svoronou, art books, text-sources, unpublished doctoral theses, doctoral dissertations, , rare brochures and leaflets of the Civil War, historical books in Greek, books in basic European languages, books in Slavic and Romanian, books and periodicals in Turkology, Law and History of Institutions, books one that particularly interested him Nikos Svoronos, books with notable dedications.
