Best Fish restaurant in Greece

M	Mark Schumacher on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ May 22, 2021. Only 4 yachts in Astakos due to Covid. We were the only table at the Blue Fish. Yet, the food and the service were below average. The huge fish plater was filled with the same, secondary quality small fish. No variation. Calamari and fish tasted bad frying oil. Grilled vegetables had no taste. The owner could certainly find a classier white wine too. In short: a bad experience and the owner would do good to question his current quality standards.

Starting with an excellent tomato salad, which I always use as an initial metric, we sampled an excellent red mullet, some lovely xorta, crispy courgettes and a plateful of whitebait. It was all cooked with love and started off our jouney briliantly.

The sardines were so fresh and tasty, some of the best I've had. Their Greek salad was great! It's been years since I've had tomatoes which tasted like this! We also had their shrimp risotto!! Impeccable!!! The shrimps were fresh which made the sauce so mouthwatering that we could barely keep ourselves from licking the plate!! As for the prices, perfect!! Two people only 32 euros for what we had, it was worth every penny!!

The shrimps were awesome but the beef burger was underwhelming, understandable though since this is a fresh fish tavern. The ambiance was good, the outside area was comfortable and clean, and the service was fast. A great restaurant.
