★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having researched 1 way hire between Athens and Patras we decided the one way fee was too expensive (and seemed to be charged by all companies) so we caught the train/bus to Patras where we picked up a Budget car booked on line. The office is an easy walk to/from Bus and Train stations. The 11 day, group B rental was good value at 14E/day and the engine was big enough to cope with the mountain roads. Pickup and drop off was quick and trouble free, although you may need to double park outside the office when dropping off. Car had a full tank on pickup.
NB: You can catch a bus to the new ferry terminal across the road from the Budget office.
